Adaptations, Equipment And Emergency Alarms
If you are older or have a disability and have difficulty in carrying out routine tasks or getting around your home without help there are lot of practical measures which could help you to continue to live at home and improve the quality of your life. For example:
- DAILY LIVING EQUIPMENT - equipment and gadgets designed to help you stay active and carry out everyday tasks without help from others
- LIFLINE ALARM SERVICES - which offer the security of knowing that if you fall ill or injure yourself you can get the help you need at the touch of a button
- TELECARE - alarms, sensors and other equipment which monitor various conditions (environmental, health and security). Some can be linked to a remote monitoring centre so help can be raised in an emergency and some are provided as stand alone equipment to relieve the stress
- DISABLED FACILITIES GRANTS - to help pay for adaptations and equipment that will make your home more accessible and allow you to live more independently.
