Reading Arts & Music Week
Reading Arts & Music Week is organised by Reading Borough Council, in partnership with Reading College and in collaboration with University of Reading, Reading Your Way and Rising Sun Art Centre. It is sponsored by Clifton Ingram LLP, Novotel and the Reading Post.
Now in its 6th year, Reading Arts & Music Week remains the town’s only open entry exhibition, showcasing works in all styles and media and open to everyone.
Reading Arts & Music Week launches on Saturday 14 June with the return of the ‘Art Village’ at Reading Water Fest in Forbury Gardens. The Art Village is a collection of pop-up stalls and exhibitions by local artists taking part in this year’s exhibition.
This year’s exhibition is being held at the Novotel Hotel in Friar Street on 21 and 22 June.
Reading Arts & Music Week is on the lookout for budding artists, gifted musicians and talented artisans.
Reading residents are being asked to submit art to be displayed at this year’s exhibition, being held at the Novotel Hotel in Friar Street on 21 and 22 June.
Submitting work into Reading Arts & Music Week is open to anyone over the age of 16 living or working in the greater Reading area.
Work can include: paintings, music, sculpture, photography, textiles, ceramics, furniture, glass, mosaics, jewellery and digital art.
You can submit a maximum of two works for a supporting fee of £18.00. There is no charge for those who are currently studying on a full or part time course in the Reading area.
Deadline for submissions was 23:59 on Sunday 1 June 2014.
